Job Position: Medical Biller (Full Time Position Preferred)

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dedicated Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing healthcare team.

Position Overview:
  • Your primary job duties will include verifying insurance, auditing files, evaluating EOBs, and contacting insurance companies and patients when payment is inaccurate or not paid.
  • Keep our records and work areas clean and organized with detailed documentation of work progress.

Job Details:
  • Compensation: BASED ON EXPERIENCE $17-24/hr, with merit-based raises, paid vacation, and paid holidays (for F/T).
  • Employment Type: Full-Time Preferred.
  • Willing to provide substantial additional training for the right person.

Medical Billing Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate EOBs and perform timely, detailed, and accurate follow-through with insurance carriers and patients through telephone and written communication.
  • Answer patient questions and assist when necessary regarding insurance and reimbursement-related issues and patient balances.
  • Field phone calls and respond to emails.

Medical Billing Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Detailed familiarity with CPT & ICD-10 codes.
  • Detailed familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, clinical office environment, capable of sustained task-oriented attention to detail, ability to perform thorough documentation, and perform timely follow-through.
  • Being multi-lingual is a plus, particularly in Spanish, but not essential.
  • It is essential to have the ability to treat others with respect and pay attention to patient details and their needs as you would like in turn to be treated.
  • The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, maintain a very positive attitude within a clinical setting, be well-spoken, extremely pleasant, be a fast-paced learner, and maintain mental focus on the tasks at hand.
  • We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team for immediate hiring.
  • Completion of a certificate program in the medical billing field & with previous experience is preferred, but not required.
  • 40 hours a week.
