COMPENSATION: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Position Summary

A Line Cook ensures that the highest quality food is served at all times from our kitchen where all of our product is scratch made. The Line Cook is responsible for all aspects of their assigned cooking stations – sets up and stocks product, cooks and presents dishes according to Zov’s plating specifications. Cleans, sanitizes and maintains equipment, utensils and tools throughout the kitchen.

Job Objectives

  • Ensures proper plating adherence is followed whenever producing dishes.
  • Understands and adhere to Food Safety and Sanitation Procedures of Zov’s.
  • Understands and adhere to all Restaurant Standards and Procedures of Zov’s.
  • Understands and adheres to Restaurant Safety Procedures of Zov’s.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by ensuring floor surfaces are clean, dry and free from debris throughout the shift.
  • Use fresh high quality foods when preparing dishes in your assigned station.

The essential tasks of this job are:

  • Follow written recipe when preparing all dishes in assigned cooking station
  • Driven to never sell a dish that has not been given a “perfect plate” test.
  • Demonstrate Basic knowledge of cooking equipment in assigned cooking station.
    • startup, shut down, shift maintenance, cleaning and repairing as needed
  • Demonstrates the ability to achieve cooking time standards in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work continuously clean and organized within their cooking station.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and team environment with all teammates.
  • Demonstrate proper safety and sanitation techniques throughout your shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to work in elevated temperatures.
    • Ability to work using your hand continuously.
    • Ability to work continuously while bending, reaching and twisting.
