Position Description




As a Title and License Specialist you will be an integral part of providing the high level of service our customers, dealers and coworkers have come to expect, delivering timely and accurate results. Primary responsibilities include tracking and recording title information in our system, following procedures to ensure lien perfection, and releasing titles and liens. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to learn additional areas of Operations, also providing support to Collateral Administration, Insurance Tracking and Customer Service when needed.

As Title and License Specialist you will also:
  • Research and determine the prerequisites to titling based on State Regulations
  • Receive, manage, and track incoming paper and electronic titles and record accurate information in CMS system
  • Perform title corrections, transfers of ownership and applications of title as needed
  • Follow up with dealers, customers, and related parties to obtain all outstanding titles or dealer repurchase when appropriate
  • Assist with title releasing when asset is paid off
  • Process UCC1 acknowledgments, as well as research and determine if UCC1 must be continued prior to expiration
  • Process UCC3 terminations when applicable
  • Process traffic violations as received
  • Process requests from syndication for pre and post documentation sales
  • Maintain weekly watchlist reporting
  • Receive and manage all contract scanning
  • Analyze processes and workflows to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Model The Volvo Way, follow The Code of Conduct and other company policies and procedures as required
  • Have availability to work flexible hours at certain high peak times

You are an action-oriented, customer focused professional. You leverage highly developed, communication skills (oral and written) to build strong relationships quickly. You are curious and exhibit the learning agility needed to get to know our customers, processes, and systems.

You hold a bachelor’s degree in business (or related field) with a proven record of academic achievement, or you bring a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in vehicle titling and registration (preferably in a multi-sate environment). Ideally, you’ll also demonstrate knowledge of equipment leasing or other asset-backed financing in a company with multiple business products.

You are a critical thinker, a problem solver. You thrive in a fast-paced working environment where you are able to apply your master-level organization and prioritization skills. You approach your job with a passion for customer satisfaction, integrity, a drive for results and accuracy in your work.
