TRIUMPH Systems, Electronics & Control is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, we recently celebrated our 90th year in this location and we employ approximately 500 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets. Position
Triumph is actively recruiting a Software Engineering intern to support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.
The ideal candidate for this position would be working in a team environment assisting in full life-cycle development (plan, design, verify, certify) of embedded software for complex control systems certified to RTCA DO-178 (software level A to E) along with their computer-based diagnostic and support tools. Responsibilities
Work with assigned engineering mentor(s).
Working within a team with daily communication and weekly coordination meetings
Working independently on assigned tasks.
Reporting to team lead while communicating risks and problems as they arise
Work on developing tool sets that are used in the development of embedded software.
Embedded software development and/or verification task progress
Participates in multidisciplinary planning, design, development, testing and certification of complex software-based systems.
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be in their Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline
Knowledge of software architectures and the C coding language
Knowledge of Python programming language
Knowledge of other programming languages
Familiar with PC based programming (C, C++, Visual Basic, etc.)
Knowledge of Model Based Development
Knowledge of embedded software development and verification
Familiar working in lab environments using in circuit emulators / target system debuggers and computer assisted test stands.
Understanding of the software development and verification processes
Familiar with MathWorks
