The nations are coming to Houston, there are over 150 languages being spoken in Houston
every day. East-West is on the front lines of where God is at work in this state as we
seek to reach people from predominantly Muslim backgrounds with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This internship is a two-month cross-cultural, missionary training opportunity.The East-West Houston Internship Opportunity will provide outreach to various unreached people groups in Houston. Experienced missionaries will provide structured training and coaching throughout the summer. The Houston Summer internship catalyzes interns to develop:

• Core competencies needed to become effective missionaries
• A deeper heart for God
• Knowledge of how different World religions think and live

A DAY IN THE LIFE

The East-West Houston internship opportunity is geared towards individuals who are looking to gain
insight and experience into what full-time service in a cross-cultural context looks like. We
encourage our interns to live in an apartment complex that houses a sizeable population of
unreached people for the duration of the internship.

• Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-12:00 are reserved for training. These weekly meetings are a time for interns to gather as a group with mentors for a meal, community, fellowship, and equipping
• Veteran practitioners train interns in best missionary practices
• Interns gather unreached people in their apartment complexes
• Learn and apply contextual gospel sharing tools
• Interns will receive training in Bible storying, various reproducible ministry tools, healing conversations, and language development
• Ministry and outreach will take place during the afternoon and evenings most days of the week
