Description:

The Interior Design Assistant will assist the Lifestyles Designers in all aspects of projects, including the development of presentations for design concepts that satisfy the client’s aesthetic preferences, specifying Furnishings, finishes, and materials based on the client’s budgetary requirements, adhering to project timelines, the creation of technical modeling in SketchUp.

The Interior Design Assistant role will work in concert with and assist the Lifestyles Interior Designers with progressing the department in its continual pursuit of quality and delivery of timely services to its clients and other Blue Heron departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and encourage alignment with Blue Heron Core Values, policies, philosophies, processes, and methodologies.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical Sketchup modeling.
  • Be present for delivery and installation as needed to help ensure all items are managed with the utmost care, the client’s home is protected from possible damage and all packing materials are removed from the home.
  • Pull finish samples as directed by the Interior Designer and set up presentations.
  • Assist with the arrangement, placement, and installation of all furnishings, art, and accessories.
  • Routine and consistent use of design software including Studio Designer, Sketch Up, Wrike and Bluebeam supporting Blue Heron company mission and goals.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize project workload, time-sensitive tasks, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with developed agendas to ensure coordination with all relevant Blue Heron departments while maintaining project schedules.
Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of SketchUp 3D modeling software required.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Studio Designer & Wrike software preferred.
  • Associate, Bachelor’s degree in the study of Interior Design preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, team-focused, and the ability to independently solve problems.
