Job Description

Duties

  • Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology customer support services.
  • Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization. Provides help desk support, including information and assistance, to customers.
  • Reports, responds to and resolves customer requests. Responsible for Pointe of Sale (POS) systems VSI RecTrac and CYMS databases, credit card devices, Hyper-V Servers, commercial networks, wireless routers and computer labs.
  • Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the Computing Environment (CE). Understands and implements technical vulnerability corrections. Implements specific IA security countermeasures.
  • Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures. Implement and monitor IA safeguards for CE system(s) in accordance with implementation plans and standard operating procedures. Presents formal and informal training to customers.

  • Must successfully obtain (within 6 months of employment) and maintain Computing Environment (CE) certificates of training and a minimum Information Assurance baseline security certification of Security + equivalent per DoD 8570.01-M , IAT Level I

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Six (6) months of work experience which demonstrates IT knowledge and skill to include all the following:
(a) Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services;
(b) Installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting hardware and software components;
(c) Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers;
(d) Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests.
OR
2. One of the following:
(a) An Undergraduate or Graduate Education degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
OR
(b) A degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
