Overview:
Kings Dominion is hiring an Area Manager of Employment Administration. This is a Full-Time salaried position reporting to the Manager of Human Resources. This Generalist role has responsibilities including, but not limited to; Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, HCM Management and etc. This position also comes with a generous benefits package and other Full-Time perks!
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Human Resources administration process to include, but not limited to, iCIMS and Dayforce administration, applicant tracking, paperwork processing, document / record retention, Learning and Development, BridgeUSA program, Associate Life program, wardrobe, benefits administration, and payroll. Ensures adequate and friendly service is provided to all who visit the Human Resources office.
- Recruit, interview and hire for exempt and non-exempt full-time positions. Make hiring recommendations to departments based on interview. Train new full-time hires on basic park and company information as well as assist them in understanding and registering for any company provided benefits which they are eligible for.
- Coordinates with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure there are no interruptions to the services in which Human Resources provides to park employees.
- Ensures budgeting guidelines are met; prioritizes expenditures to stay within budget and assist with preparation of annual labor and P&L budgets.
- Communicates to employees on all levels, both seasonal and full time, to ensure compliance with corporate policy and federal / state / local employment law.
- Manages direct reports’ performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides input into selection, promotion, demotion, and termination decisions. Conducts performance appraisals on an annual basis with each direct report.
- Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
- Conducts Internal auditing process for assigned areas including drug screen program, compliance with state, federal and local laws, and company policies.
- Participates in the Human Resources MOD and On Call Programs.
Qualifications:
- At Least 18 Years of Age
- 2 - 4 Years Human Resources Generalist Related Experience
- 2 years’ experience directly supervising employees
- Bachelor's Degree (4 year College or University) Human Resources (preferred)
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods on a regular basis
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows based operating systems and software including Word, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by State, Federal or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
