Position Title: HR Generalist, THX


Position Location: Hershey, PA (On Site)


Summary:


This position works as a member of the THX HR team and supports the Sr. HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) with projects related to building leadership capability, organizational capability and a learning culture that enables The Hershey Experience to achieve its objectives. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of core HR programs and processes (e.g., talent segmentation/planning, performance management, culture surveys) and executing new organizational development projects to build capabilities and deliver efficiencies.

Key accountabilities of the HR Generalist will fall in the areas reporting and analytics, talent management and performance management, employee relations, and organizational data management. In addition, the HR Generalist will play a role in supporting the talent acquisition process.

The HR Generalist will work collaboratively with respective clients, HR Centers of Excellence partners, and cross functional leaders to deliver HR objectives and services.

Build Talent Capability

Partners with the Sr. HRBP and client group leadership to provide support of building talent capability throughout their function through recruitment, performance management, workforce planning, succession planning, career development, and diversity.


Also, by participating in designing and implementing initiatives that will build talent capabilities in the areas of process re-design, organization re-design, leading and managing change.


Client Interaction

Provide coaching to managers and leaders on performance and employee relations issues. Give guidance in preparing/reviewing related documentation and performance improvement plans


Assists in employee relations issues and conduct investigation as needed. Provide employee advocacy through case management of company employee communication systems (e.g., Ask HR; Concern Line) or direct interactions.


Project Management and Process Excellence

Manages projects across the THX function that impact organizational effectiveness and client delivery. Works with the Sr. HRBP to lead and manage projects for clients and/or the function. Continuously reviews and improves processes to reduce cycle time, increase output and improve quality. Recommends innovative, new ways to leverage technology, enable self-service and deliver HR more effectively.


Talent Acquisition

Support the Flex Force hiring process for HCW; collaborate with the HR team to process requisitions and facilitate the on-boarding process during heavy volume staffing periods.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

  • Training groups of employees/leaders

  • Conducting investigations into potential violations of company policies
  • Handling sensitive Employee Relations matters
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and prioritizing multiple activities
  • Ability to be agile and flexible, as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (a concentration in Human Resources preferred)

Experience: 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with strong generalist focus
