OVERVIEW ::
Provides administrative assistance for HR department during 2nd shift including attendance, payroll, benefits, training, and event planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee data and issues arriving to the HR office.
  • Performs administrative functions of HR, including attendance, payroll, ID badges, etc.
  • Delivers accurate and timely feedback to employees regarding any inquiries made.
  • Prepares and processes employee documentation - assists with/prepares correspondence, prepares new employee files, processes mail.
  • Supports recruitment efforts such as on-site interviews, onboarding tasks, etc.
  • Maintains personnel records (hard copy, HRIS, and electronic); Ensures that information is current.
  • Helps HR Department coordinate and put together employee events throughout the year.
  • Fosters Company culture through constant contact with employees - Intakes and routes employee’s issues, escalating problematic issues to higher-level management.
  • Routes phone calls to the appropriate parties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS ::
  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Office/HR roles.
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures and computer systems (Word, Excel, Ulti, and Kronos).
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written; Edits/proofs work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and can read and interpret written information.
  • Attention to detail in composing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Planning: organizational and prioritizations skills; plans work activities well; uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans; excellent multi-tasking and scheduling.
  • Quality: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

  • Primarily working in an office environment.
  • Occasional travel in plant environment (wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces, temperatures below 28 degrees or up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, noise up to 110 db)
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
  • Physical capabilities required in given department/assigned areas.
