Knott’s Berry Farm is casting enthusiastic and passionate storytellers who enjoy helping facilitate memorable character and entertainment experiences for our guests. Entertainment Hosts should be able to communicate with guests confidently and comfortably. An ideal candidate aims to exceed guest expectations, actively initiates guest interactions, and is knowledgeable about entertainment offerings, experiences, and attractions at Knott’s Berry Farm. Please park in the Western Employee parking lot (8189 Western Ave. Buena Park, CA 90620) located between La Palma and Crescent on Western Ave. Please proceed to Western Employee Park Entrance where a Knott’s Berry Farm representative will escort applicants to the audition area. Photos backstage of any kind are not permitted.

Responsibilities:


  • Using your storytelling talents to enrich Knott’s Berry Farm’s guest interactions with Park Characters, Interactive Entertainment Offerings and beyond
  • Working as a member of a team to achieve overall atmosphere and goals set by Entertainment leadership and show directors
  • Consistently greeting guests and welcoming them using themed language
  • Keeping guests informed of operational changes and providing guests with Character Meet and Greet information and Knott’s Berry Farm information
  • Utilizing a friendly and genuine tone while communicating with guests and fellow Knott’s team members
  • Assisting guests with their cameras and offering to take group photos
  • Providing guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving accurate directions
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision
  • Meeting scheduling availability requirements that include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fulfilling attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies
  • Adhering to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures
  • Performing other duties as they are assigned
Qualifications:


  • Availability to work all assigned rehearsal and event dates that include weekday/weekend nights and holidays
  • Comfortability with initiating guest interactions and speaking to groups of people
  • Passionate guest service that anticipates needs
  • An outgoing, fun, positive, and professional and personality
  • Self-sufficiency, adaptability, flexibility, and ability to self-direct
  • Patience and receptiveness to guest requests
  • Demonstration of compassion for challenging guest interactions
  • Comfortability standing, walking and being on your feet for the entirety of your shift, excluding lunch and breaks
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, rain, etc.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, special events, peak seasons (Spring Break, Summer, Holiday Season) as needed
  • Knowledge of Knott’s Berry Farm and its Entertainment Offerings, Special Events, Shows, Rides, Attractions and Restaurants
  • Knowledge of more than one language (this is a plus, but not mandatory)
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, and DMV
  • Ability to provide record of previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
