Douglas Gardens CMHC is a non-profit organization that has been providing comprehensive mental health services to the local community for over 40 years.

Douglas Gardens CMHC is currently seeking a full-time Health Information Management (HIM) Technician for the North Miami office location. The HIM Technician is responsible for the proper maintenance of consumer (patient) records while insuring the integrity, confidentiality and security of consumer information. The HIM Technician will assemble charts, file, repair, thin, and check charts in/out to staff. Serve as backup to front desk receptionist with basic functions such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, organizing the front desk area, and data entry. HIM Technician will complete other tasks as assigned by department lead.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office and prior experience working with an electronic health record system preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
• Detail oriented and organized; comprehend medical records terminology; possess data entry skills and able to lift a maximum of 30 pounds.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Successfully complete background screening and drug screening
