Job Description


Your Responsibilities as a High School Systems Analyst

As an analyst on the regional data team who is focused on high school you will support the three KIPP New Orleans High schools on all aspects of data entry and analysis. This includes supporting scheduling and grade entry, auditing transcripts and testing records and providing training on edtech systems. Core responsibilities include:


Supporting High School Scheduling

  • Training school Registrars to use scheduling software
  • Setting up the online scheduling environment
  • Supporting registrars with the scheduling process including reviewing error logs
  • Reviewing and auditing schedules during the year to ensure students are correctly scheduled and courses are coded correctly


Reviewing and Auditing Grades and Transcript Data

  • Explain graduation requirements to school staff and assist Registrars with student transcript review
  • Regularly monitor regionally created dashboards and follow up with schools when records are found that may be incomplete or incorrectly entered
  • Maintain current Individual Graduation Plan and Transcript reports and train new users
  • Summarize and share grade distribution and GPA data, as well as progress towards graduation


Ensure New Student Records are Complete

  • Work with Registrars to enter historical grade data for transfer students
  • Ensure new students have been scheduled correctly based on transfer data
  • Review state testing history and assist Registrars with entry of historical test data


Manage other High School Data Systems

  • Review clever set-up to ensure High School Ed-Tech programs are receiving up to date data
  • Support attendance entry at all three schools and assist with error correction
  • Review discipline data to ensure compliance with state and local policies
  • Support collection and storage of records for data certification
  • Serve as point of contact for School Testing Coordinators at all three high schools. Specific tasks include: training School Testing Coordinators, managing testing rosters and tracking completion

Qualifications


The following are required for all applicants for this position:

  • Bachelor's Degree or experience working with student data systems
  • Intermediate excel knowledge including vlookup or index match, countif and logical tests
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to locate errors in large data sets
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Demonstrated commitment to educational equity
  • Advanced knowledge of data systems/languages is encouraged including experience with tableau, SQL and/or python

Requirements

  • This is not a remote position
  • You would be expected to spend 50% of your time at our High schools and 50% in our regional office
