Responsibilities:

• Provide patient education on disease prevention and health promotion at clinical settings
• Support the development and adaption of health education materials in variety of formats, such as prints, social media, group workshop
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing of community health education activities
• Participate in community events including health fairs and other events to promote health practices in the community
• Assess education needs from patients and communities, maintains accurate records of educational activities and prepares project reports
• Translate documents and materials to/from English and Chinese as needed
• Support the Health Education and Engagement team in special events and projects
• Work/travel between Manhattan/Chinatown and Queens/Flushing sites required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Behavioral Science or related field
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English preferred
• Excellent communication and counseling skills
• 1-3 years of experience working in a health-related field, preferably in the Chinese and/or Asian American community
• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), preferred but not required

Compensation and Benefits:

• 
  Salary: $50,000.00 - 55,000.00 per year
