Opportunity

Provide direct support on all inventory management projects/initiatives, providing financial and accounting impact. Control the preparation of all financial data for NA inventory results, assist with forecast and excess and obsolete management. Coordinate, promote, verify, participate, and drive the Global Inventory reporting. This position is also responsible for all physical inventories within KPS North America. Own the OMC and Warehouse & Shipping line of P&L.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop and maintain inventory control procedures in NA for raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods while partnering with the Inventory Control, SIOP, and Warehouse Management teams.
  • Provide accurate/timely inventory reports and assist SIOP with forecasts to management on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Analyze and explain significant quantity adjustments to inventory.
  • Prepare, monitor, and communicate standing of excess & obsolete inventory reserve.
  • Monitor, analyze and approve cycling counting processes and results.
  • Prepare and review inventory balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Audit inventory transactions, as necessary, for accuracy and compliance to control procedures.
  • Provide advice and feedback to operations personnel as required to maintain inventory control and accuracy.
  • Act as Finance Lead for all physical inventories at North America plants and warehouses.
  • Responsible for analyzing and communicating results, forecasts, and plan for the NA Other Manufacturing Cost and Warehouse & Shipping lines on the P&L. Partner with Quality and Warehouse department budget owners to understand performance versus budgets and understand risk/opportunities in these areas.
  • Review and manage aged goods received/invoice received (GR/IR) items for North America facilities. Direct Plant Technician in gathering supporting documentation to resolve aged items timely and accurately.
  • Review and manage monthly production order variances (POV) for North America facilities. Analyze planned costs vs actual costs to determine if variances are real or not. Gather and provide supporting documentation to resolve any variances needing further action.

Skills/Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, managerial accounting, planning, or related experience in an analytical capacity is desired.
  • Experience in SAP inventory reporting and cost accounting is also desired.
  • A working knowledge of SAP, Excel, BPC, Power BI is preferred.
