Job Description

This position supervises employee activities within the specified area of responsibility, including but not limited to training and coaching staff; providing food and beverage service to guests; checking regularly for guests needs; answering any questions or concerns; monitoring the flow of assigned operations; and assisting service staff when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and directs staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supports staff during peak business and assists guest as needed.
  • Completes all F&B Supervisor position checklists.
  • Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging instruction.
  • Assists in maintaining the point-of-sale database and managing all point-of-sale related issues, including but not limited to programming new menu items, creating keypads, troubleshooting printer issues etc.
  • Assists management in administrative duties needed to perform job functions as required (e.g., staff schedule, payroll, shift reports, equipment pulls, work orders, inventories, etc.).
  • Ensures compliance with company, local, state, and national regulations pertaining to food quality, cleanliness and sanitation standards, alcohol service, personnel, and safety.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment.
  • Competency in POS systems, working knowledge of office software and reservation systems.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to position self to move about.
  • The employee frequently is required to operate and use necessary tools and equipment; and communicate with guests, employees, and management.
  • The employee must move up to 30 pounds frequently.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Alcohol service and food handler certification or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire.
