Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in schematic design and product integration and will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative electrical systems and products.

Essential Functions

  • Design and develop electrical schematics, circuit boards, and wiring diagrams using industry-standard software tools.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design concepts to ensure product reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and product managers to ensure successful product integration.
  • Work with suppliers to identify and source electrical components and ensure their compatibility with existing designs.
  • Perform design reviews and create detailed documentation to support product development and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug electrical systems and products and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with firmware development for microcontroller applications is preferred.
  • Experience with robotics and mechatronics control system design a plus.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communicator, verbally and in writing, with strong and demonstrated interpersonal skills. Effective problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use standard tools to identify technical requirements are met.
  • Proficient in Office Package. Knowledge of MS Project preferred. Knowledge of AX highly valuable.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in schematic design and product integration.
  • Strong proficiency in schematic capture tools such as Altium Designer or Eagle.
  • Familiarity with product development processes including requirements gathering, design reviews, and testing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
  • Familiarity of industry standards and regulations such as IPC, UL, and CE preferred.
