Motor City Seafood Company is seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher to join our dynamic team in Highland Park. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Dishwasher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for our employees and ensuring the efficient operation of our dishwashing area. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Clean and sanitize all containers, utensils, and equipment used in the seafood processing facility.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines and operate them efficiently.
• Hand wash items that cannot be placed in the dishwasher.
• Sweep and mop dishwashing area regularly.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of the facility as needed.
• Follow all safety and guidelines to ensure a healthy work environment.
• Collaborate with the Processing staff to ensure smooth workflow and assist when required.

Work Schedule

The Dishwasher is a full-time position with a work schedule of Wednesday through Sunday from 8am until 4pm. Weekend availability is required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The Dishwasher will work on site at our new state of the art production facility in Highland Park, Michigan. Physical demands include but are not limited to:

• Ability to work in a cold controlled environment of <40 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to work in a wet/dry conditions.
• Exposure to FDA cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to operate dishwashing equipment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience working as a dishwasher in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a food processing facility or commercial kitchen.
• Knowledge of proper dishwashing techniques, including operating dishwashing machines and hand washing delicate items.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations in a food processing environment.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work in a team and communicate with fellow staff,
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area.
• Ability to properly operate, breakdown, and clean dishwashing equipment.

• Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable signed agreements and work rules.
• Cooperates with all management and staff at MCSC.
• Follows all OSHA rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
