DEPCOM Power is looking to add a Director of Tactical Procurement as the next leader of their Procurement Execution Group for their US-based utility-scale solar EPC Division. The right individual will be a highly motivated, charismatic leader with a proven track record in managing the Procurement function in a fast paced, rapidly expanding organization. They must be skilled in developing staff, developing Procurement tools and techniques, and managing large & complex procurement transactions.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Management of a high-performance tactical Procurement Team
  • Development of procurement infrastructure to support a rapidly growing business while driving company-wide adoption of purchasing best practices, controls, and processes
  • Lead “value engineering” efforts of Procurement processes to ensure maximum transaction efficiency
  • Develop necessary infrastructure (reporting, archiving etc.) to manage and monitor the activities of the group
  • Ensure development and maintenance of a robust internal control process around procurement transactions
  • Development of documented Procurement Manual and robust training process for new hires to ensure consistency of activities within the group
  • Drive analytical methods such as spend analysis, commodity price trending and order analysis to support and increase accuracy of ordering methodology
  • Cultivate and maintain a collaborative partnership with other key groups including Accounting, Project Management and Project Finance/Controls to ensure alignment with budgets and other company key objectives
  • Identifying and implementing supplier diversity strategies/programs to achieve company-wide targets
  • Development and implementation of an ESG program for our supply base

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience developing procurement policies, procedures, and infrastructure in a high paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Previous experience leading and developing staff
  • Experience in process development and improvement with exception reporting infrastructure and ERP/procurement system implementation


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in a tactical procurement environment where tactical and strategic procurement are separated under different leadership
  • Tactical procurement experience focused on the purchase of equipment and materials in a construction and/or renewable energy business
  • Understanding of complex sourcing concepts with experience proactively planning for new/emerging industry trends
