Do you love data? Do you want to build the next generation of data products at Disney? Join us! We are looking for a leader to drive the development and successful delivery of modern data products. You will own the successful roll-out of new features and capabilities that provide useful Guest insights and drive growth for our business. You will lead all aspects of assigned data initiatives and a studio of engineers who craft, build, and improve the framework and processes that handle consumer data, ensuring freshness, completeness, security, and privacy.


You will sit in Data Products & Platform within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. You will work closely with internal segment partners and technical authorities from across the company.


You Will:

  • Work with partners from around the organization to understand business needs and translate those into high value capabilities and features
  • Develop the strategy and roadmap for data products that supports Guest experiences
  • Lead the team that delivers against plans, including both highly technical and non-technical resources
  • Build a strong culture of best practices and standards in data and engineering
  • Act as the deep technical authority on delivery practices, able to speak to capabilities and processes to multiple levels of the organization
  • Advance data collection strategies and onboarding processes that enable improved data capabilities while adhering to data privacy requirements
  • Stay in the known on the product direction for applicable technologies to understand how shifts in the consumer privacy landscape alter the Guest data strategy

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in owning the delivery of data solutions, including 5+ years directly leading engineering resources
  • Deep technical expertise in the platforms, tools, and vendors in the data space - including those available in AWS serverless space and Snowflake
  • Strong problem solving skills, able to critically think through and elegantly address logic problems with code
  • Experience working with data processing and analytical technologies - including those available in AWS serverless space
  • Ability to navigate in the gray easily and work independently to guide the development, creation, and delivery of strategies and roadmaps
  • Excellent communicator and partnership skills with the ability to interface and influence across the organization, including Executives
  • Strong project leadership skills, can handle the creation of sprint plans across multiple initiatives and studios
  • Experience working in the hospitality, travel, or entertainment industry
  • Solid grasp and believer of agile development approaches, including DevOps concepts

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
