About the Role
BetMGM is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing Information Security team. The Sr. Security Analyst demonstrates a working knowledge of a Security Operations Center (SOC) from multiple years of experience. This includes activities related to incident response, forensic analysis, threat detection, assessments, and remediation management. We are seeking an individual who will bring security analysis and threat detection experience to the organization in order to support, grow and mature our current SOC environment. The Sr. Analyst will participate in threat detection and incident response activities including threat hunting, detection creation, endpoint analysis, end-user interviews, and timeline construction. The Sr. Analyst will interact with multiple departments and assist support personnel in determining remediation methods on systems. The Sr. Analyst may be asked to assist in threat modeling, penetration testing exercises, and provide recommendations based on current industry trends.
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will assist in safeguarding the enterprise, perform advanced analytics in support of security operations, and be responsible for daily management and coordination of security administration. All assigned duties will be performed in accordance with corporate standards. compliance policies, and regulatory requirements. To do well in this role, experience in the Cyber Security field as well as being comfortable working both independently and in conjunction with a team will be required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat analysis, assessment, and malware triage in support of security investigations and incident response process
- Aid in the creation of a scalable, holistic Triage and Analysis program
- Recognize and research attacker tools, tactics, and procedures (TTP) in indicators of compromise (IOCs) that can be applied to current and future investigations
- Build internal policies, procedures, and standards to help streamline internal and external audits
- Work with SOC to address and remediate any security threats or anomalies detected
- Help implement and improvement measures to improve our alerting and detection practices
- Refine and develop dashboards, queries, and reports to continuously improve security situational awareness
- Help develop and implement user awareness training
- Help plan and carry out an organization’s security policies and procedures
- Develop security standards and best practices for their organization
- Participate in documenting security standards, guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Create reusable security artifacts
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to drive SOC initiatives acting as the SME
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Crime Investigations preferred
Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in computer security- related disciplines such as incident response, host forensics, malware analysis, network traffic analysis, Insider Threat, alerts tuning and trend analysis
- Understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, controls and remediation strategies in customer data environments
- Strong security concepts of threat categories (such as malware, phishing attacks, Defense-in-Depth, MITRE ATT&CK framework, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Mac OS and comfortable with looking at, understanding, and investigating Security Event logs
- Experience with compliance and regulatory
- Experience with industry frameworks ISO27001, NIST, CIS, SOC
- Experience with query languages and scripting languages
- Experience in managing remediation plans to completeness

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
