Description

The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

The Cosmetologist position is responsible for performing various aspects of cosmetology for the veteran residents of the Radcliff Veterans Center.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provides hair care such as cutting, shampooing, conditioning, setting and styling of hair for residents
• Performs treatment care for hair and scalp conditions
• Performs facials, manicures and other grooming care such as shaping eyebrows
• Keeps implements and equipment in clean and sterile condition
• Requisitions materials and supplies and keeps records and reports as necessary

This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
