We are currently looking to hire a Construction Administrator in the Columbus, OH area.

Position Responsibilities of the Construction Administrator:

  • Assist the Project Manager(s) in documenting, submittals, and other project documentation, as necessary
  • Work with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers to assist the operations team
  • Manage schedules, project progress, shop drawing requirements, and material deliveries to ensure adherence to project objectives, schedule completion, and timely deliveries
  • Assist the Project Manager(s) in monitoring project performance on assigned projects
  • Assist in managing established schedules and weekly reporting, project budget, and quality standards in compliance with plans, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Assist in regular review of job costs, reports, project history, and purchase order history
  • Review and interpret blueprints and shop drawings and other project documents to help identify change management needs, HVAC scope take-off and document pricing requirements
  • Cultivate a working relationship with managers, supervisors, fellow employees that encourage a cooperative environment
  • Attain and maintain knowledge of building construction means and methods
  • Accurately document project and work situations (written and verbal), in a timely manner
  • Ability to modify behavior style and management to effectively manage tasks that require a change in work plans or schedule
  • Perform all work procedures safely and as required for employee development
  • Responsible for reinforcing safety standards, report accidents or incidents to the Safety Manager in a timely manner as outlined per Company Policy
  • Assist in the management of the close out processes including updating punch lists and gathering information for record drawings
  • Assist in creation of accurate and detailed material purchase orders
  • Assist in creation of monthly billing projections, material and equipment releases to ensure timely delivery to the jobsite

Physical Requirements of the Construction Administrator:

  • Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting
  • Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate
