Job Description
- Serve as a role model of excellent customer service by responding constructively to the needs of all those he/she interacts with daily on behalf of the organization.
- Identify potential high-exposure and complex claims and recommend strategies to protect corporate assets.
- Control workers compensation claim costs by coordinating quality care for injured workers, by managing relationships with medical providers, and by communicating with operations.
- Oversee return-to-work programs for employees.
- Provide oversight and assist third-party administrators to resolve claims.
- Seek recovery of damage costs from responsible parties and coordinate resolution of mobile equipment claims.
- Oversees the information intake process for accident-related claims and complaints. Guides Claims Representative in loss reporting to insurance carriers and ensures its timeliness.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining loss data, including frequency, severity, cost, and identifying incidents with Life Changing Event Potential and to produce accessible and accurate information used to identify hazards, target loss control efforts, comply with customer reporting and control loss-related expense.
- Oversees regulatory reporting requirements, file retention, and file maintenance.
- Facilitate the insurance renewal process and requests quotes for special insurance coverage as required by operations and customers to safeguard the Company s assets.
- Coordinates non-drug and non-work-related return to work Fitness for Duty .
- Review contracts and subcontracts for insurance and indemnification language as needed (to insure risk transfer and compliance).
- Maintain and administer the Company s incident hotline.

Qualifications
- Educational and/or experience Bachelor s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language skills The employee must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. The employee must possess the ability to speak effectively with managers, field personnel, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community in order to present or obtain information and respond to questions or complaints. The employee must also be able to develop and deliver presentations and articles for publication that conform to a prescribed style and format.
- Mathematical skills The employee must possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. The employee must also possess the ability to apply concepts such as basic algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning ability The employee must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The employee must also possess the ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Certificates, licenses, registrations None required, but claims-based educational programs through the American Education Institute or the Insurance Institute of America highly recommended.
- Technical abilities The employee must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
