Our Adoption Center is the largest private no-kill facility in Brevard County. The primary work involves cleaning and maintaining dog kennels, walking the dogs, and performing other related shelter duties, as needed. Workers carry out daily assignments, follow through on matters using independent judgment and training to take appropriate actions when dealing with standard recurring situations. We?ll also rely on you to assist all Adoption staff to care for all of the animals.

Essential Duties and Functions

Animal Care

• Feed, walk, and bathe dog and puppies in our care

• Weigh animals
• Assist with canine enrichment and canine playgroups
• Properly and safely restrain animals
• Clean and maintain the dog and puppy areas (ie: kennels, stainless steel cages, central floor areas, outside dog yards).
• Provide data to behavior team regarding the observed temperaments of adoptable dogs and puppies
• Providing observed data to medical team regarding adoptable dogs and puppies
• Use proper animal handling skills

Office Management

• Organize, label, and restock supplies and pet foods
