Job Description


The Business Development Manager will develop new client relationships within their assigned territory. The primary focus of this role is to secure new sales contracts and incremental growth by working closely with the Operational/Customer Service team. The role will identify, close, and implement new business, as well be involved in developing and lead initiatives related to continuous improvement and the expansion of the Clean Earth offering to ensure revenue growth within the partnership.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Directly source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up.
  • Make outbound cold calls and emails to prospective business partners.
  • Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Work within company-based system to turn generation leads into business partners.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure.
  • Obtain detailed information on customer needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with channel partners to maintain, grow, and share best practices.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Qualifications


Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of proven sales experience in the waste/recycling industry
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of RCRA and DOT
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
