Business Analyst - Strategy and Transactions (S&T) – Capital Transformation – Strategy & Operations – Analytics (Manager) (Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Hoboken, NJ.
Serve as a Strategy & Operations professional to prepare and execute mergers and acquisition plans to maximize synergies and financial benefits from transactions focusing on data analytics. Understand the factors that drive successful mergers and acquisitions, and apply knowledge of the organizations involved in a deal to drive operational value. Provide operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle (including carve-out, due diligence and integration), whether supporting an acquirer or seller. Focus on solving business problems at the intersection of operations research and data science in a broad range of analytics disciplines, including operations decision support and scenario analysis; mathematical programming and statistical modelling; big data integration and homogenization; multi-echelon inventory optimization; network modelling and footprint optimization; sourcing, spend, and procurement analytics; and discrete event and continuous flow simulation.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field plus 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field plus 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience with data, programming and mathematical techniques including Machine Learning or AI to solve business issues related to supply chain optimization, operations effectiveness, cost transformation, working capital improvements or other types of operational improvement.
Must have 3 years of experience with one or more advanced data mining tools (SQL, Hadoop or Alteryx).
Must have 3 years of experience with one or more advanced programming languages (Python, R, or Java).
Must have 3 years of experience with one or more data visualization applications (Tableau, Spotfire, or Power BI).
Must have 3 years of experience with data management, data structures and analytic models.
Must have 3 years of experience with one or a combination of the following: MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, VBA and/ or MS Excel.
Must have 1 year of experience managing engagements and engagement related budgets; and, leading teams, including projects and engagement leadership.
Domestic and international travel required up to 50%, to serve client needs.
