Job Description
Premier Tax and Finance needs a remote independent contract Bookkeeper to join our Financial Reporting team. This individual should be experienced in providing bookkeeping services to multiple clients in various industries. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount.
You will be expected to work 10 - 15 hours per month (heavily weighted in the first two weeks of the calendar month) assisting to service and meet deadlines for our established and increasing roster of clients. You will need to be accessible during normal business hours for questions from clients and attend a bi-monthly meeting with PTF management.
Depending on the needs of the company and your availability, this position could lead to more hours per month.
Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
- Create and send financial reports to clients after a detailed review for accuracy
- Prepare 1099's annually as needed
- Perform journal entries when required
- Train clients on QuickBooks Desktop and Online upon request
- Special projects determined by the manager
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a CPA office or accounting firm
- Minimum of 5-7 years of bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge and recent experience using Quickbooks Desktop and Online
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and direction
- Proactive work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
- Consistently demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively communicate financial information to management and work collaboratively to achieve the company's financial goals
