Behavior Change Institute is an innovative provider organization specializing in comprehensive
diagnostic and treatment services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. We are seeking
a consultative partnership with a New Mexico Licensed Clinician to serve in the capacity of Autism Diagnostic Consultant.
Job Description
The Autism Diagnostician will be responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments to evaluate
individuals suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Autism Diagnostician
will conduct comprehensive evaluations of children, adolescents, and adults with a range of
developmental, behavioral, and emotional difficulties.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments using standardized assessment tools to

evaluate individuals suspected of having ASD. Test administration is based on
understanding of age, culture and developmental level.

  • Conduct interviews with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to obtain a

comprehensive developmental history and current functioning level.

  • Interpret diagnostic findings and develop treatment plans and recommendations for

ongoing support and care.

  • Provide counseling to families regarding assessment findings and referrals.
  • Provide feedback and support to families and caregivers regarding the diagnosis and

management of ASD.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and diagnostic tools related to ASD.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of assessments, evaluations and treatment plans.

Minimum qualifications:

Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.

  • Licensure as a New Mexico Psychologist, Social Worker, or other relevant professional

designation.

  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ASD.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic assessment tools and methods for evaluating individuals with

ASD.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay up to date with the latest research and

techniques related to ASD diagnosis and treatment.

  • Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and

processes to arrive at objective, strategic, purposeful decisions within the context of
patient care and department, division, and organizational prioritiesPreferred qualifications:
