WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Responsible for the ordering, receiving, handling, and storing of WCCB food orders in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations. The Assistant Storeroom Coordinator ensures compliance with all approved vendor initiatives and managed orders guide policies and procedures.

Follows the approved order process associated with the FLIK Senior Living food production system to ensure budgetary projections are met and performs inventory for ordering of foods and supplies shipped to the Dining Services Department.

  • Completes paperwork associated with receiving orders, including transmittal of invoices and credit memos.
  • Checks all deliveries for accuracy, quality, recalled product and to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Ensures that the receipt, handling, and storage of all goods minimize losses, waste and fraud.
  • Distributes product to all Dining Services areas as per assigned level.
  • Provides direction and training to staff assigned to the storeroom.
  • Ensures staff schedule coordinates with storeroom and receiving operations.
  • May be required to assist in unloading deliveries.
  • All other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Experience ordering and receiving goods in food service.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling techniques, basic computer skills – Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Sufficient dexterity to operate and manipulate a hand truck, cartons, utility knife, floor cleaning equipment, and fire extinguisher.
  • Experience with Shipping and Receiving.
  • Ability to communicate well and demonstrate appropriate customer service with team members, residents, and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills – Google and Microsoft applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift 40+ pounds

Must be able to operate and manipulate a hand truck

Will work in Kitchen, storeroom, and refrigerated areas.
