Mission:Chefsville’s mission is to provide life-skill education such as cooking skills, critical thinking and problem-solving. The life skills taught to bring about a higher degree of confidence to those learning these skills, and more closeness to the family unit, which in turn builds stronger communities.Our programs increase the quality of life by giving families a chance to grow together and make connections around food. It has been shown in study after study for over 40 years that strong families can make it through difficult times without abuse, violence and neglect. Strong families are empowered with the ability to hit problems head-on in order to overcome them. Strong families keep kids in school, have low teen pregnancies, low crime rates, and score high on problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Chefsville serves families in the North Texas area specifically the Dallas Metroplex. Our programs have been in over 200 schools in Dallas, and over 45 schools in the northern Collin County area. We work with over 25,000 kids a year.
